Day 1: Monday, August 2, 2021

Today we depart on our journey to southern Indiana with stops for comfort and lunch on our own along the way. Our day will come to an end in Terre Haute, IN, where our overnight accommodations and a welcome dinner await.

(Dinner included)

Day 2: Tuesday, August 3, 2021

Our day begins with breakfast before we board the motorcoach for the remainder of the drive to French Lick, Indiana. Along the way, we will stop at the Gasthof Amish Village and be joined by a step-on guide for a tour through the local Amish community. Our guide will show us many Amish farms, homes, small businesses, and an Amish schoolhouse, and we’ll even have the opportunity to visit an Amish home and several stores! Lunch will be served at the Gasthof Amish Restaurant after the tour. Continuing on to French Lick, our first stop in the beautiful resort community is the French Lick Winery for a wine tasting. We’ll then check into the French Lick Springs Hotel at the French Lick Resort for the next three nights and enjoy a leisurely evening to explore and have dinner at one of the excellent hotel restaurants.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 3: Wednesday, August 4, 2021

Following breakfast at the hotel, a local historian will hop aboard our coach for a guided tour of French Lick and West Baden that will leave us with a deeper appreciation for the rich and unique history of the area. Up next is a visit to First Chance Center Industries, which produces a line of products called Envision Designs from discarded fabrics donated by local businesses. All profits from the sale of the products fund the programs and services for individuals with disabilities at First Chance Center. We will take a tour of the factory and have an opportunity to purchase a product from the current inventory or design our own! This afternoon we will venture to Bear Hollow Wood Carvers to admire the one-of-a-kind chainsaw sculptures on display and do some shopping for unique gifts. We’ll cap off our day with a delicious dinner as a group.

(Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 4: Thursday, August 5, 2021

After a hearty hotel breakfast this morning, we will bid farewell to French Lick and drive to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, where the pages of the Bible dramatically come to life. The morning is yours to explore the 75,000-square-foot museum and have lunch on your own at Noah’s Café. Venture through biblical history as you marvel at the Garden of Eden alongside Adam and Eve. Spot the serpent coiled among the tempting fruit and discover more about Noah’s Ark and the Flood. You’ll see state-of-the-art exhibits and even a full size Allosaurus skeleton. The museum also has beautiful botanical gardens and a petting zoo. After a full day, we will settle into our hotel in Florence, KY, and enjoy dinner together.

(Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 5: Friday, August 6, 2021

We’ll begin our day with breakfast before heading to Williamstown, KY, to explore the Ark Encounter at our leisure. The centerpiece of this park is a full-scale representation of Noah’s Ark as described in the Genesis Flood narrative of the Bible. At 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, the Ark is massive! Numerous teaching exhibits about the Flood, Noah, and the animals are designed to answer your questions about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark. Relax and refuel with lunch and then visit the Ararat Ridge Zoo to spot some exotic animals like Tibetan yaks, kangaroos, and ostriches. As an added bonus at the Ark, we will be able to enjoy the 40 Days & 40 Nights of Gospel Music at the Ark, the world’s largest Christian music festival!
