DAY 1 WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2 CHICAGO (D)

Today, we board our deluxe motorcoach at our designated pick-up locations and set off on an exciting journey filled with discovery and festive cheer. Our first stop takes us to the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Claire, IA, where we’ll explore fascinating exhibits that showcase the life of the legendary frontiersman, the rich river history, and the area’s local heritage. Upon arrival at Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile, enjoy a short break to unwind and freshen up before we come together for a warm welcome dinner.

DAY 2 THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3 CHICAGO (B, D)

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a festive tour of Chicago. Experience the city’s holiday magic as we drive past and visit iconic landmarks that are beautifully decorated for the season, from the dazzling lights of Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile to the grandeur of Millennium Park. The celebration continues with a visit to Christkindlmarket in downtown Chicago, a beloved German holiday market filled with handmade gifts, delicious European treats, and a touch of seasonal charm. Stroll through the twinkling stalls, savor warm mulled wine, and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as you shop for one-of-a-kind holiday treasures. You’ll also have time to savor the flavors of downtown with lunch on your own at one of the city’s many fantastic eateries. After returning to the hotel for a short break, we’ll gather for a group dinner before heading to Winterland at Navy Pier. This magical experience transforms Chicago’s iconic lakefront into a holiday wonderland, offering indoor and outdoor attractions to ensure joy and celebration. To top off the evening, we’ll catch the dazzling Fire in the Sky fireworks display as it lights up the night.

DAY 3 FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4 CHICAGO (B, L)

This morning, we’ll visit the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, home to the beloved Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light exhibit. This annual tradition features a breathtaking four-story Grand Tree surrounded by more than fifty beautifully decorated trees, each representing holiday traditions from worldwide cultures. Following our visit to the museum, we’ll come together for a group farewell lunch at The Berghoff Restaurant—a perfect opportunity to unwind, share memories, and savor a delicious meal before we continue our journey. Our next stop is Skydeck Chicago at the Willis Tower, where we can step out onto The Ledge, a thrilling glass balcony that extends 1,353 feet over the city. Take in stunning panoramic views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, and on a clear day, you may even glimpse four different states. To conclude our Chicago Christmas adventure, we’ll attend a holiday-themed play at one of the city’s legendary theaters (subject to availability).

DAY 4 SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5 HOME (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll begin our journey home, making comfort stops along the way. A highlight of the return trip is a stop at the Amana Colonies, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch on your own and explore the delightful Prelude to Christmas Festival. This celebration is filled with beautiful decorations, local artisan shops, seasonal treats, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that beautifully captures the season’s magic. After taking in the sights and flavors of the festival, we’ll continue our journey home.
